For me, even the name Abraham gets me excited. Why? Because
he had the courage, the audacity, the ‘foolishness’, the b**ls to trust God,
even when the lights were all on red. And I want to be just like that.
In Hebrews 11 it says that, ‘Abraham, when called to
go…went.’ ‘Abraham, even though he was past age (what a nice way of putting
it)…became a father.’ ‘Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac (his promise-laden
son, his very best) as a sacrifice.’

| Where are you going? |
How do you do that? When the Sat-Nav tells you there is an
easier route, you deliberately switch the option to the ‘God’s most dangerous
route’ (with Bear Grylls voice or perhaps Morgan Freeman) and do exactly what
you are told. As Carl says, ‘God
graciously allows us to choose’ and ‘we
can take the more comfortable path and He (God) still works through us and with
us...’ But I wonder what we’ll be missing if we do?
Abraham is the Daddy. When given the choice, he took the
hardest path. Jesus did exactly the same. He had to walk it alone, but He was
convinced that we were worth it.
What will you choose today? Where is God leading you? What
battles will you face? ‘God always
finishes what he starts.’ Let Him start a brand new adventure in you today.
At the next roundabout …

Amen Brother
