GETTING OUT OF BED

The toughest part of any exercise routine is getting started; taking that first step, getting on the bike and beginning to pedal, the first stroke in the swimming pool. No matter that you have got all the gear - brand new and still with the tags on - got the equipment, look the part - perhaps you shouldn't have worn the pink lycra - getting started is the hardest thing to do. But once you start, perhaps you'll soon find that nothing will stop you.

It's no different when it comes to reading the Bible, praying, studying, serving, in fact when it comes to any discipline that is going to help us become a bit more like the ultimate man - Jesus. You have to get out of bed and get started. No amount of new books or Bibles or good intentions is going to do it, it is down to you taking the first step, turning the first page and getting started.

That's why it's good to get fit together.

You might be brilliant at reading your bible, praying and applying it or you might be rubbish, so together we can all be better. That's why I want to invite you to join in the '52 Men in 52 Weeks' challenge.

Will you join me to read one chapter a week and then through this blog interact together to challenge and encourage one another as we seek to walk as Mighty Men of God?

I'll post a few thoughts on a Monday morning (starting Monday 8 September) and then throughout the following week we can chuck a few thoughts around and see how we can all grow towards maturity just a little bit more.
